Sullivan's Enthusiastic Endorsements

Robert Sullivan's campaign to be the next State Representative serving the 11th Plymouth District has been enthusiastically endorsed by 17 organizations and groups.

Easton Patch readers –

With one month to go until Primary election day (THURSDAY - September 6th), I wanted to share important information with you about the great supporters who have endorsed my efforts to be the next State Representative serving the new 11th Plymouth District consisting of Precincts 1-5 in Easton and the west and north sections of the City of Brockton.

In late-February, before I began my campaign to be the “New Voice and New Leader” for our new District, I sat down with my wife, Maria, and asked her if this was the right time for me to run for the House of Representatives.  From past elections we both know that I would need to spend countless numbers of hours away from our home and family.

Despite the fact that Maria was pregnant with our third child and keeping a busy schedule with our kids and her work as a Physician Assistant, she did not hesitate with her answer – “you definitely should be running…you will make a difference at the State House just like you have for the past seven years serving as a City Councilor…your experience and dedication is needed at this time and I enthusiastically support your campaign”.

So during that late-winter month, I was able to achieve my first official campaign endorsement. Although it was an endorsement by my wife…it was still the most important endorsement that I could ever get!

Since that time, I am proud to have been endorsed by the following Seventeen (17) dedicated, vested, and important organizations:

1)         Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA)

2)         Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA)

3)         Massachusetts AFL/CIO

4)         Brockton Firefighters – Local #144

5)         American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Massachusetts – AFL/CIO

6)         American Postal Workers - Local #3844

7)         United Auto Workers – Massachusetts

8)         Plymouth-Bristol County Central Labor Council

9)         Norfolk Central Labor Council

10)       I.B.E.W. - Local #2222

11)       I.B.E.W. - Local #2322

12)       International Association of Machinists/Aerospace Workers – Local #264

13)       International Longshoremen's Association (New England Dock)

14)       United Food & Commercial Workers - Local #791

15)       Office & Professional Employees International Union – Local #453

16)       The Coalition For Social Justice/Coalition Against Poverty

17)       Massachusetts Sierra Club

Some of these organizations have also interviewed the other Democrats running in this race. Yet, after these groups have conducted their candidate interviews and extensive due diligence, these organizations have endorsed my efforts and my candidacy because they believe that I am the best candidate for State Representative serving the 11th Plymouth District.

I am truly honored that such a diverse group of dedicated and caring professionals are supporting my campaign.  I am proud that the educators, nurses, laborers, public safety, postal, environmental, civic and hard-working groups support and endorse me.

I ask that all Members of these organizations or friends of Members please vote for me on THURSDAY September 6th.   This election should be about electing a proven and experienced leader who can work to better our Community and Commonwealth.

I want to represent the 11th Plymouth District at the State House to help all residents of the District. I have a proven track-record and believe that I possess the necessary leadership skills and experience to greatly benefit our District.

I respectfully ask all registered Democrat and Unenrolled/Independents to please go the polls on THURSDAY September 6th and vote Robert Sullivan for State Representative.   I will work with you and for you!

Thank you.

Bob
