Easton Police Investigate Alleged Hazing Incident at Stonehill

Authorities are investigating an alleged hazing incident during a basketball camp at Stonehill's facilities over the summer.

 

The Department is working with to investigate an alleged hazing incident involving Andover High School basketball players that took place during a privately-run summer camp.

According to the Eagle Tribune in Lawrence, the incident, which involved a sex game, ocurred during the Hoop Mountain Basketball Camp in July. Stonehill released a statement Monday that it has terminated its agreement allowing the camp to use its facilities.

"On Nov. 22, the College sent a notice of termination of the agreement with Hoop Mountain for its failure to meet its supervisory and safety obligations," the Stonehill College statement read.

Two younger players were allegedly coaxed into playing a game called "wet biscuit" in which the loser had to eat an oreo cookie covered with bodily fluids, the Eagle Tribune reported.

Easton Police Chief announced Monday that the department is investigating the matter, but there would be no further comment.

Stonehill's statement said authorities from three police departments would be working together.

"The Stonehill Police Department is cooperating with the Andover and Easton Police Departments on this matter," the statement concluded.
