OA Marching Band Scores First Win

Band will be performing with King Philip Saturday night at OA

The Marching Band and Color Guard traveled to Bellingham last weekend and won their first competition of the year.

The group competed in the Blackstone Millville Chargers Music Fest 2011 on Saturday evening Sept. 24. Drum major Marcus Ayasse led the band and color guard onto the field on a beautiful warm night to perform Bach:for the New Millenium. The performance scored a Festival high 70.575 finishing ahead of Plymouth High School, Westmoreland High School from New York and Framingham High School. The group also were honored with awards for Best Music, Best Effort and Best Visual.

The band and color guard will be performing in Easton on Saturday October 1, 2011 co-hosting a competition with King Philip High School of Wrentham. This event will be a great opportunity to see some fantastic performances.
