Easton's Williams Projected to be Taken in NFL Draft

Early website reports have him targeted for the third round after Brennan Williams suffered a late season shoulder injury.

 

Easton's Brendan Williams will probably be one of the offensive linemen taken in this year's NFL Draft.

The only question now is where will the University of North Carolina and Catholic Memorial 6-7, 310-pound standout end up.

Earlier in the draft websites had Williams going in the second round, but a late season shoulder injury moved him to be projected in the third round. Williams missed the final four games of the season after starting at offensive tackle.

The site www.fftoolbox.com has him him going in the third round to the Chicago Bears, but also said he could move back to the second round with a strong performance at the Senior Bowl and at the NFL Combine.

Another site, www.walkerfootball.com has him also going in the third round, while CBS Sports has him as the 109th player overall.

He was All-ACC Conference honorable mention in his senior season. This is the first year the 12 league coaches made the selections.

His father, Brent, is a former NFL defensive lineman, playing for the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets.
