U.S. national silver medalist Gracie Gold was at Loring Arena in Framingham Tuesday morning with her legendary skating coach Frank Carroll, getting in one last practice prior to this week's 2014 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships at TD Garden in Boston.

Gold, who was born in Newton and lived in Easton until she was five, skated with the Wagon Wheel Figure Skating Club in Illinois and has been with Carroll since September 2013.

Carroll, who grew up in Worcester, coached world figure skating champion Michelle Kwan. He also coached Evan Lysacek, who won the men's Olympic gold medal in 2010 at Vancouver.

Gold, 18, is considered a one of the favorites to make the 2014 Olympic team. She finished sixth in the 2013 world figure skating championships.

Her parents were at the Framingham rink to watch her practice Tuesday morning.

The senior ladies short program is Thursday night with the long program on Saturday night.
