Fall Sports Kick Into Gear at Oliver Ames

Oliver Ames head football coach Jim Artz has been guiding his team through preseason practice since Monday on the turf at Muscato Stadium, but his squad will have company at the high school Thursday when the other fall sports team, soccer, field hockey, cross-country and volleyball will start preseason practice.
The Tiger golf team will be holding tryouts at Pine Oaks on Thursday. 
The OA football team will be scrimmaging at Franklin High, Friday at 4 p.m. The two teams won't be playing each other this year because of the schedule changes. OA will also be facing Cardinal Spellman in Brockton Saturday and the team will be holding a BBQ Sunday at 10 a.m. They will also be hosting Watertown in a scrimmage Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m.
OA's boys soccer team will be hosting a jamboree with Milton and Holliston, Monday, Aug. 26, starting at 3 p.m. at Muscato Stadium, scrimmaging at New Bedford Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 3 p.m., at Medfield, Thursday. Aug. 29, at 4 p.m.  
Tuesday, the girls' soccer team will be playing Medfield, Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Muscato Stadium at 3 p.m. 
The OA field hockey team is scrimmaging Bridgewater-Raynham Wednesday, Aug, 28, at 3 p.m. and will be traveling to Needham, Thursday, Aug. 29, for a 5 p.m. scrimmage.
