Oliver Ames Boys' Soccer Wins First Two Games of the Season
The OA Tigers beat King Phillip 3-1 and Mansfield 3-0 in their first week.
The Oliver Ames Tigers' soccer team is off to a good start, having won it's first two games of the season, according to Head Coach John Barata.
The team won its first game against King Phillip, 3-1. "Brandon Boone and Chris Goncalves provided a goal and assist for Oliver Ames. David Stapleton scored the Game winner off an assist from Gaston Cetrangolo. Alex Cerce recorded 3 saves. John Cerce and Zack Wyman played well in the midfield. Evan Coose anchored the defense with Chris Romero and Max Bamford/Jack Dedonato played well for the Tigers," said an email from Barata.
The Tigers also recorded their first shutout of the season, 3-0 against Mansfield "thanks to the back line of Romero, Dedonato, Bamford and captain Evan Coose. Brandon Boone and Chris Goncalves provided a goal and assist for Oliver Ames. David Stapleton scored the Game winner off an assist from Gaston Cetrangolo. Alex Cerce recorded 3 saves.
