Oliver Ames Football Team Wins First Game of the Season

The Tigers pulled off a 28-6 win against Hingham High School.

The Oliver Ames Tigers football team won their first game of the season on Thursday, beating the Hingham High School football team in a 28 to 6 victory. 

Oliver Ames' Cody Scully opened the game with an 80-yard touchdown return and the team later scored off of a fumble, bringing the score to 12-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers missed the extra point on the first score and it was blocked on the second. 

The Tigers scored two more touchdowns during the game--a 10-yarder from Nick Cidado to Joe Walsh in the second quarter and a 60-yarder from to Sam Kelly in the fourth quarter. The next game is on Friday, September 20 at 4:30 p.m. away against Pembroke.
