Oliver Ames Tigers Undefeated So Far

The OA High School football team defeated Pembroke last Friday advancing them to a record of 2-0.

The Oliver Ames High football team advanced to 2-0 after defeating Pembroke last Friday.
 
Pembroke scored on two long pass plays and took a 14-0 lead in first quarter. OA QuarterBack Nick Cidado threw a 15-yard Touchdown to Joe Walsh. John McMillan's two point conversion run was no good in the 2nd quarter Matt Berksza scored on eight-yard run.


Cidado threw to Reid Starr for a two point conversion to make the score 14-14. Cam Williamson blocked Pembroke's punt and Joey Tepper scored on three-yard run. Nick Sanborn's kick was good and OA took its first lead of the game 21-14.

Pembroke scored in the fourth quarter to tie the game. With six minutes left in game, Matt Berksza scored on a six-yard run and Sanborn's kick was good taking OA to a 28-21 lead. 

Pembroke closed in on the endzone with time running out but Dan McCarthy made a key tackle for loss at the OA 25 to pressure Pembroke to throw on fourth down. With only 13 seconds remaining Mike Ferrara intercepted the Pembroke pass in endzone to preserve win.
