Four Ways to Stay Cool in Easton this Summer

Now that warm weather is finally here to stay, here are a few ideas for escaping the heat.

Summer is finally here, with temperatures nearing 90 degrees today and in the mid 80s for the rest of the week. These high temperatures mean finding places to cool down is going to be a necessity. Here are four ideas:

1. Go for a swim: Easton’s Town Pool opens for the summer next Saturday (June 28th), with free admission to the public on opening day. More information about the pool, including registration, can be found here. The Old Colony YMCA and Brown Billone Tennis and Swim Club are also great options.

2. Catch a movie: Dark, air-conditioned movie theaters were made for beating the heat. Sharon Cinemas 8 and Showcase Cinema De Lux at Patriot Place are both a short drive from Easton.

3. Enjoy a cool treat: Ice cream is one of the best parts of summer, and Hilliards offers delicious homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt. Another great option is DiscoYo, a new frozen yogurt place that just opened in Easton.

4. Visit a museum: Museums are great places to get out of the sun and still do something interesting. The Children’s Museum in Easton is open from 9am-4pm daily and The Easton Historical Society has a small museum full of memories from Easton’s past.
