Vagabond Runs in the Annual School on Wheels Outrunning Homelessness 5K Race

Vagabond CrossFit was a proud supporter at this past weekend's Massachusetts School on Wheels Outrunning Homelessness 5K Race and Fun Walk which was held on April 26th at Borderland State Park. Vagabond sponsored the finish-line food table along with AdvoCare representative, Corrin Lemieux. The team, made up of 40 gym members and their families, proudly dedicated their run to the loving memory and honor of Matthew Cox (Matthew's aunt and uncle, Kara and Chris Dupill, ran on Vagabond's team).

Vagabond owner, Kevin O'Malley, said, "We were thrilled to show our support to School on Wheels and all of the important work they do in our community. Plus, it was truly special to run in Matthew's memory. Even with the rain, the event was upbeat and undeniably positive!"

Vagabond member, Dave Hobaica, finished in 11th place overall with a time of 21:41. Member Shane Dupont came in 25th place with a time of 23:49 and placed 3rd overall for his age group.

Outrunning Homelessness is an annual 5K race and 2.6 mile fun walk and is a fundraiser for School on Wheels of Massachusetts, empowering children impacted by homelessness to reach their full potential through educational support and one-one-one mentoring.
