Oliver Ames Teams in the Tournament

Here are things to do in Easton this week.

Football Takes on North Attleboro

After a decisive 49-14 win over Medfield in the MIAA South Division 3 Southwest quarterfinals over the weekend, Oliver Ames next takes on North Attleboro on Friday, Nov. 8. The game is at 7 p.m. at home. The winner will battle Stoughton or Hopkinton for the southwest division title.

 

Oliver Ames Soccer Head to Quarterfinals

It’s not just the football team that’s still in the tournament. The boys’ soccer team will play Duxbury in the Division 2 South quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 at home. Girls’ soccer was playing on Sunday night as we published this article. If they knocked off Walpole, they would play against North Attleboro in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Musical Evening on Friday

The Friends of Ames Free Library will present A Musical Evening with the Sheppard Sisters at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the Oakes Ames Memorial Hall. Tickets at $20 and can be purchased at the library circulation desk. Find out more about the event here.

Neighbors’ Night Out on Friday

Head out to Neighbors’ Night Out at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the Knights of Columbus in Easton. Easton and Mansfield residents are invited to attend and do some early holiday shopping.

 

Author Talk on Sunday

Mother Dolores Hart will speak about her book “The Ear of the Heart: An Actress’ Journey from Hollywood to Holy Vows” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at the Father Peyton Center, Holy Cross Family Ministries, Easton. The event is free.
