Noah T. Goodale, age 21,beloved son of Thomas E. Goodale, BFD of Brockton and Susan J. (Fuller)Goodale, BFD of South Easton, died Tuesday April 10, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was devoted brother of Molly A. Goodale of Taunton and Laura C. The following was written by Jon Phelps, a member of the Easton Lions Club: A loss for the lions and the community. 40+ years a lion, Melvin Jones Fellow, Ancient and Honorable Society Member, community patron for education and the arts, the list goes on. Manny Fernandes was one of the two charter member of Ike Boone's Ancient and Honorable Society along with Duke Duhamel. They were both voted into the society the first year that it was established after Ike passed away although it took a while to give Manny his award due to health and mobility concerns. Ken Martin Was the Essence of Caring and Giving and Doing God's Work on Earth
Kenneth "Ken" Martin lived simply and beautifully. He had little concern for accumulating wealth, competing in social status, or “keeping up with the Joneses.” His life was a one of goodness and service and gentleness. Ken Martin, a lifelong resident of Easton, was an inspiration. Ken was born with a developmental disability, which included a slight speech defect. How he confronted and handled that lifelong challenge made him and his life so admirable. Ken Martin died November 15 at Boston Medical Center from injuries he sustained in a single-person auto accident on November 3. He was 68 years old. Ken was one of six children, four who survive him. Leah Jeffery, a 23-year-old Easton native was killed in a car crash early Friday morning.
Family and friends of Easton native Leah Jeffery are remembering her as a fun-loving, loyal person who never failed to make people laugh. "She had a great personality and she could always find a way to make you laugh and have fun," said Stephanie Sullivan, who was a friend of Jeffery's. Jeffery, a 23-year-old, 2005 graduate of Oliver Ames High School was killed in a motor vehicle accident early Friday morning when her car veered off the road and into the woods on Main Street in Easton, yards from the Brockton line. The road was closed for most of the day Friday. Easton Police Sergeant James McAvoy said the matter is under investigation. Her loss will be devastating for many.
