Congressman-Elect Joe Kennedy III Weds in California

Kennedy married his Harvard Law School classmate Lauren Birchfield.

Just a month after he clinched the Fourth Congressional District seat, Joseph Kennedy III celebrated another important milestone on Saturday: his wedding. Kennedy, 32, wed fellow Harvard Law School classmate Lauren Anne Birchfield at the Community Church in Corona del Mar, Calif., My Fox Boston reported earlier today. The ceremony was officiated by Birchfield's father, the Rev. Jim Birchfield, My Fox Boston reported. Kennedy, Bielat to Square Off in Wellesley College Debate

Candidates for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District seat will participate in their third debate tonight.

The race for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District seat will take another step forward tonight as the candidates take part in a debate at Wellesley College. Democrat Joe Kennedy III and Republican Sean Bielat will participate in the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters and Wellesley College. This is the third debate between the candidates, who seek to replace longtime Democratic Congressman Barney Frank. Both Bielat and Kennedy have participated in a live chat on Patch, and the two candidates will appear once more after tonight in a televised debate October 24 broadcast live on WFXT-TV. Bielat, Kennedy Face off in First Debate

The debate will air on WCVB this Sunday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m.

In their first general election debate appearance, Fourth Congressional District candidates Sean Bielat and Joe Kennedy III went head-to-head last night on topics including policy, job creation and social security. Easton makes up part of the Fourth Congressional. Bielat, a Republican, also focused on his opponent's resume. He argued that Kennedy, a Democrat, does not have enough experience for the congressional seat, according to a report today in the Boston Globe. The debate was held at the WCVB-TV 5 studios in Needham and taped for the channel's political show, "On the Record" with Janet Wu and Ed Harding. Kennedy Agrees to Debate Appearances; Bielat "Disappointed" with Announcement

Sean Bielat responded to a statement today from Joe Kennedy III announcing his appearance in three general election debates.

As the general election race for the Fourth Congressional District heats up, so begins a debate about debates. Fourth District Democratic candidate Joe Kennedy III announced Wednesday three general election debate appearances, including a spot on WCVB's "On the Record" and a candidates night at Wellesley College. A few hours after Kennedy's announcement, Fourth District Republican candidate Sean Bielat responded to the debate announcements with a letter stating he was "disappointed" to see Kennedy agree to only three debates. In his response, Bielat said he has accepted 16 debate offers to date.
