Easton Police Arrest Two Brothers After Reported House-Break

Police report a house break on Jenny Lind Street that led to two arrests.

  Two Brockton brothers were arrested Wednesday afternoon by Easton Police after an alleged break-in on Jenny Lind Street. Kyle L Breton, 26, of Madrid Square, Brockton and Brian Breton, 21, of Madrid Square, Brockton, were charged with breaking and entering, possession of burglarious tools, possession of heroin, and possession of counterfeit currency, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said. They will be arraigned in Taunton District Court Thursday morning after being held on $5,000 cash bail. Krajcik said a Jenny Lind Street neighbor called at approximately 4:15 p.m. reporting a man breaking into a nearby residence. Police arrived and surrounded the house. A message from Police Chief Allen Krajcik: Police remind residents that the winter parking ban begins on December 1.  There is no parking on any Easton streets between the hours of 1AM and 8AM during the months of December, January, February and March.

Easton Police Arrest Three Alleged Jewelry Thieves

Three Easton residents were arrested as a result of a "continuing investigation" into recent housebreaks and larcenies.

Three Easton residents were arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing $10,000 - $15,000 worth of jewelry from an Easton home last month, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said. Evan Greene, 17, of 219 Main St., Daniel Estey, 17, of 194 Lincoln Street, and Michael Monroe, 18, of 10 Marshall Road were arrested after being pulled over on Main Street near Seaver Street Tuesday at approximately 3 p.m. Krajcik said that upon being pulled over, the three men were in possession of the jewelry. He said their arrests are part of the "continuing investigation" of larcenies and housebreaks that have been occurring around town. Two Housebreak Attempts Reported Overnight

Easton Police warn residents to call 911 if they hear anything suspicious

Easton Police are warning residents to stay alert and call 911 immediately if they hear anything suspicious at their home. The warning comes after two attempted housebreaks in a 55 and older community overnight. While there have been a slew of recent daytime housebreaks, the incidents early Tuesday were the first night-time housebreaks in occupied homes in recent memory, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said. Krajcik said police responded to a call at Twins Brook Drive just after midnight reporting that someone had ripped the screen off of a bedroom window and was attempting to gain entry into the house. Easton Police Arrest Housebreak Suspect

A Westwood man was arrested and suspected of multiple housebreaks in Easton

A Westwood man was arrested yesterday after an investigation in which police were able to link him to a recent Easton burglary. Police said the investigation is continuing and further arrests are expected. Christopher Gentile, 29, of 139 Porter St Westwood was arrested with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony and released on $10,000 bail. Police said they received a call from a Randall Street resident on Tuesday who said he saw a 2004 Lexus with two “well dressed” men, one carrying a clipboard, walking around his neighbor’s home.  According to police, the neighbor saw them go to the rear of the house and a short time later walk back toward the car carrying a pillowcase that appeared to be filled.
