Alleged Assault Reported on Turnpike Street

Police are investigating an incident involving an alleged assault at South Easton Plaza on Thursday

Easton detectives are investigating an alleged assault Thursday at South Easton Plaza on Turnpike Street. Police Chief Allen Krajcik said a woman reported leaving her business at approximately 10 p.m. when a black male, 6 ft 2 inches with a rugged build attempted to force his way into the store. "She reported that he covered her mouth with his hand and that they fought for several minutes," Krajcik said.  "She yelled for help and the suspect fled in an older model SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Traverse." Krajcik said the victim did not report the incident until the next day and received a scratch on her face but was otherwise not injured.

Easton Police Make Arrest at Herman Distributors Sunday Night

An arrest late Sunday night capped off six arrests made by Easton Police this week.

Easton Police arrested a Pepperell man late Sunday night after an investigation involving a k-9 unit. Nicholas Litchfield, 26, of 39 Shattuck Street, Pepperell was arrested for a straight warrant late Sunday night after police responded to suspicious activity at Herman Distributors at 800 Washington Street. At 11:45 p.m., police were notified of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Upon arriving, officers found that the vehicle was still warm. A k-9 unit was called for assistance from Stoughton and the area was secured. Litchfield was found and arrested shortly after. Donuts at Frothingham Park Police responded to a call at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday regarding a vehicle illegally on the track at Frothingham Park. A second call …
