Muscato's Musings

The 2011-12 Boston Celtics

"There really could be something going on here." A Parallel to the 1968-69 Celtics?

Actually, he is now into his mid 40s, and he still plays spirited and aggressive pickup basketball, including against kids a couple decades or more younger than him. After Saturday night’s Celts comeback win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 …

Question of the Day

Question of the Day: Best Celtic [Poll]

Who is the best Boston Celtic of all-time?

Pierce finished the game with 21,797 points. While he is still a ways away from John Havlicek, who had 26,395 career points with the Celtics, surpassing Bird certainly puts Pierce in the disucssion for all-time best Celtics players. Question of the Day

Question of the Day: Worst Boston Sports Moment Ever?

What is the worst Boston sports moment of all time?

We ask Easton Patch readers a different question every weekday at noon. Questions could range from local decisions made by officials, to state issues, to national politics and entertainment. Whatever it is, we want to know what EASTON thinks! To answer, use our comments section below. Last nigth capped off one of the worst September collapses in baseball history - and this time it was the hometown team collapsing. The Red Sox fell to the Baltimore Orioles last night, 4-3, in stunning fashion. At the same time, the Tampa Bay Rays came back to beat the New York Yankees after being down 7-0. What is your favorite Boston sports team?

Beginning in June, we'll be asking Easton Patch readers a different question every weekday at noon. Questions could range from local decisions made by officials, to state issues, to national politics and entertainment. Whatever it is, we want to know what EASTON thinks! Currently, the team with the longest drought since their last championship is the Patriots. Since 2004, the Red Sox have won two championships, the Celtics have won one and the Bruins have won one. The Pats took home three in the early part of the decade. In this spoiled city …
