Whatever it is, we want to know what EASTON thinks! Today, Governor Deval Patrick signed a Massachusetts gambling bill that would make casinos legal in Massachusetts. While proponents argue that the bill will create more jobs, tax revenue and entertainment options, opponents fear a nearby casino could hurt local businesses, create crime and increase traffic congestion. Raynham Park, just over the Easton border, has been rumored as a possible casino site. Do you think the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to casinos in Massachusetts?

The Massachusetts State Senate approved a bill yesterday that called for a timeframe of one-year before a former Massachusetts lawmaker could take a job at a casino. The bill was approved after much discussion and was a "watered-down" version of a previous bill that called for a five-year ban.
