Maplewood Country Day Camp and Enrichment Center Is your child into Archery? Swimming? Dancing? Basketball? Football? How about just having a fun and activity-filled summer? If so, Maplewood Country Day Camp and Enrichment Center, on Foundry Street (route 106, just west of route 138) is the place to go. Run by Sue Reardon and Lee Pinstein, the 30-acre facility houses nearly 300 day-campers each summer with approximately 150 staff workers. The camp is the former site of a sand pit, but was transformed 47 years ago by Sandy and Hal Pinstein. Their children, Sue and Lee have run the camp for the past 21 years. A few things to know in the week ahead

1. The Board of Selectmen will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. at Easton Town Offices. On the agenda, the Selectmen will discuss redistricting and an appointment for an alternate position on the Zoning Board of Appeals. 2. Easton Legion Post 7 baseball will play in its first playoff game Tuesday evening at Frothingham Park. Easton will be playing Acushnet in the first round of games. 3. The Fire House Study Committee will meet at 8:45 a.m. at Easton Town Offices. 4. "Shiver Me Timbers" will be at the Children's Museum of Easton Thursday at 10:00 a.m. For more information, click here. 5. 1. Don't forget to check out local fireworks Sunday night in Stoughton celebrating the Foiurth of July. Click here for more information on Stoughton's celebration. 2. All Town Offices and the Easton Food Pantry will be closed on Monday because of the July 4 holiday. 3. On Tuesday at the Easton Yoga Center from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m., the center will hold "Build Your Own Yoga Practice." For more information, click here. 4. On Thursday at at 10 a.m., the Children's Museum will have "Tie Dye Day". For more information, click here. 5. The Easton Lions Grange Thrift Shop will be open on Wednesday and Saturday. 17th Annual Father's Day Road Race Brings Families Together

The Children's Museum held the 17th annual event Sunday morning in Easton.

"Celebrating dad" was the prevailing theme at the Children’s Museum in Easton Father's Day Road Race Sunday morning. One competitor pushed his young son in a carriage as he headed towards the starting line. One family cheered from the sidewalk as dad made his final strides towards the finish line, and another proud father watched and rooted on his son as he finished up the race.  On a day where fathers are celebrated and families are brought together, over 350 entrants turned out to the 17th annual running of the 5-mile road race and 2-mile fun walk at the Children’s Museum.  The race has been an established activity in the Easton community for some time and acts as both a fundraising opportunity for the Children’s Museum and a great way …
