D. Michael Mike Brophy age 68 of Easton, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband for 43 years of Judith M. (Lyons) Brophy. Born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Joseph and Helena (OConnell) Brophy, Mike was a 1961 graduate of Brockton High School. Following High School he enlisted in the US Navy and served as a medical corpsman. For the past 27 years he had been a resident of Easton. Mike retired from the Town of Easton School Department after 20 years of service in the custodial department. Previously he had worked for many years at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy.
