Friday- May 3, 2013 Traffic Violations Arrests- 9:09 a.m. Lincoln Street- 9-1-1 caller reported a suspicious gray sedan at a neighbor's residence, neighbor reported that no one should have been there. Caller reported the vehicle had left down Lincoln Street towards North Easton Center. Vehicle towed. Joao Gomes, of 28 Battles Street, Brockton, Mass. was arrested for alleged traffic violations. A rollover Friday night on Howard Street leads today's Police and Fire log.
No serious injuries were reported Friday night when a rollover accident occurred on the corner of Howard Street and Josie's Way. A 911 caller phoned Easton Police at approximately 11:30 p.m. Friday to report the accident. The caller said a 17-year-old male was out of the vehicle and there were no visible injuries. Easton Fire and Police officials responded to the scene. Hit and Run Reported Friday Night Easton Police responded to a hit and run accident at 7:20 p.m. Friday night. A second party caller reported that her brother was involved in the accident and he followed the other vehicle and stopped at White Rose Pantry. An alleged shoplifting incident resulted in the arrest of one Easton resident.
Easton Police arrested an Easton woman on assault charges Sunday Night after an alleged shoplifting incident at Target on Robert Drive. Martha McNally, 61, of Washington Street was arrested for assault when police arrived to assist Target loss prevention, which was trying to "detain an unruly shoplifter." McNally was later released on $40 bail. Easton Man Arrested for Vandalism One man was arrested for allegedly vandalizing another residents' car on Shagbark Road Sunday night. Leslie Huynh, 26, was arrested for malicious damage to a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and trespassing when police were called by a resident claiming two cars with several parties were parked in his driveway. A Saturday night robbery leads this week's Police Log.
Easton Police responded to 7-11 on Turnpike Street at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night regarding an alleged robbery at knife point. Police first received a notification from the alarm company reporting a panic alarm. Minutes later, the clerk from 7-11 stated the store was robbed at knife-point. The clerk said the suspect took cash from the drawer and three packs of cigarettes. The suspect was described as a tall, white male possibly in his 20's wearing a heavy blue winter jacket. The suspect fled in a "white work van" with no front plate. The clerk was unable to read the rear licence plate. The vehicle drove onto route 106 towards West Bridgewater. Thursday at a approximately 5:20 p.m., emergency officials responded to to Washington Street for an auto accident. Upon arrival, one patient was evaluated, treated and transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center. Accident at Washington and Central Street Thursday afternoon at approximately 1:15 p.m., emergency officials responded to the corner of Washington and Central Street for a motor vehicle accident. A look at Easton Police Log highlights.
On Wednesday, Sept. 5 at approximately 6 p.m., Police responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle that took down a signpost and continued down Depot Street trailing fluids. The Easton Fire Department was notified. An officer followed the fluid trail and recovered the grill, heat shield and cadillac converter. Police located a vehicle with similar damage in West Bridgewater and West Bridgewater Police were called to transfer the operator back to his residence and tow the vehicle. A summons will be issued to the operator. Was there a sentencing for this guy? I'm curious if they had a security alarm system set up such as video and recording.
