Remembering Ellen E. McCarthy
Ellen Elizabeth (McGranachan) McCarthy, a longtime resident of Easton passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 after a period of failing health, surrounded by her loving family at age 81. Ellen was born in Boston on June 15, 1931, a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Merrill) McGranachan, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Gate of Heaven High School in South Boston. Some of Ellen's fondest memories are of her days working at Kmart, bowling with her friends, spending a short time in Arbors in Stoughton, her Wise potato chips, and many wonderful trips and times shared with her family.
