Hamilton Visiting Hours Tuesday

Ali Hamilton will be remembered in Easton this week.

Services have been announced for Easton's Ali Hamilton. Visiting hours are set for Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home on Washington Street. On Wednesday, a funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church on Purchase Street. Hamilton tragically passed away Friday from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident. The 22-year-old was a 2009 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. She is the daughter of Easton police officer Steve Hamilton.

Donald L. Bergeron, former high school physics teacher

Donald L. Bergeron, 83, a 54-year resident of South Easton, passed away at home on Tuesday. Donald, born in Brockton to Simeone J. and Mary Z. Bergeron, graduated from Coyle High School in 1949, before he enlisted in the Navy, following the example of his older brothers who fought during War II. He enrolled at Stonehill College, where he met his wife of 54 years, Marion C. (Harris) Bergeron, in 1953. After two years at Stonehill he enlisted in the Air Force as an Aviation Cadet. He returned to Stonehill after two years and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1958. Easton Lions Remember Manuel Fernandez

Manny passed peacefully on Wednesday January 18th at age 99. A longtime member of over 40 years, this valued Lion will be sorely missed

The following was written by Jon Phelps, a member of the Easton Lions Club: A loss for the lions and the community. 40+ years a lion, Melvin Jones Fellow, Ancient and Honorable Society Member, community patron for education and the arts, the list goes on.  Manny Fernandes was one of the two charter member of Ike Boone's Ancient and Honorable Society along with Duke Duhamel.  They were both voted into the society the first year that it was established after Ike passed away although it took a while to give Manny his award due to health and mobility concerns.  That is how respected and valued he was by the organization. Details Emerge in Fatal Route 24 Accident

Funeral arrangements have been made for Maureen O'Brien-Ellis

The Easton resident of 27 years who died after she was ejected from a vehicle struck by an alleged drunk and drugged driver over the weekend will be remembered with a visitation period at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:30 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home. Maureen O'Brien-Ellis will be revered as a loving wife to the late Joseph Ellis, who died of esophogeal cancer in January, and as a loving aunt, sister and cousin. "Aunt 'Moe Moe' will forever be remembered and deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews," her Kane Funeral Home obituary reads.
