Easton Police Catch Alleged Tire Thieves in the Act
Two were arrested for larceny Friday after allegedly stealing tires.
The following information was supplied by the Easton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Two alleged tire thieves were caught in the act Friday night. Easton Police received a call at approximately 9:20 p.m. regarding the larceny of tires in progress at 627 Washington Street. The caller described a black Chevy pick-up truck. A short time later, Easton Police pulled over a truck matching the description with tires in the back. William DeCosta, 48, of Fairhaven and Brian Murray, 48, of New Bedford were arrested for larceny and held on $1,048 bail. They were later transported to the New Bedford House of Correction.
