Image Gallery: Oliver Ames Boys' Hockey Skates Over Milford

The Tigers improved to 7-4-1 overall.

The Oliver Ames boys' hockey team improved to 7-4-1 overall with a Davenport Division win over Milford Wednesday night at the Asiaf Arena in Brockton. OA and Milford were tied 1-1 after the first period, but Oliver Ames burst ahead after the first break. The Tigers were led by Kyle Hayes, who had a hat trick and an assist.  Justin Davidner had two goals.  Thomas McNeeley had one goal and one assist.  Tyler Provost and Sean Kyne had one assist each. Milford dropped to 6-6-1 overall.

Undefeated Milford Boys' Basketball Out-Shoots Oliver Ames

The Tigers fell in a Davenport Division game Tuesday night at home.

The Oliver Ames boys' basketball team went into Tuesday's home game knowing it was facing a major height disadvantage. But it wasn't the Scarlet Hawks' size or athletic ability that beat the Tigers, nor was it the experience of a team that has a deep roster filled with juniors and seniors. Not only are the Scarlet Hawks big, experienced, and athletic, but they can shoot the lights out. Undefeated Milford defeated OA in the Davenport Division game, 73-49, to improve to 8-0. Borderland was taken over by the Hockomock League Cross Country Championships Saturday.

The 2012 George King Hockomock Cross Country Championships were held at Borderland State Park in Easton Saturday morning. The Oliver Ames boys team placed second and the Oliver Ames girls team placed second. Mansfield took top honors for the boys and Franklin took top honors for the girls. Oliver Ames Boys, Girls Cross Country Topples Milford

Both the boys and the girls improved to 3-0 at Borderland State Park Monday.

The Oliver Ames boys' and girls' cross country teams handily beat Milford Monday afternoon at Borderland State Park. Both improved to 3-0 with the league win. The boys won 19-42 and the girls won 15-50. For the boys, Dan Moverman (18:07), Britton Copley (18:07.1) and Bobby Kline (18:31) led the pack. For the girls, Jillian Mcauliffe (21:16), Megan Fitzgerald (21:23) and Maggie Harding (21:30) led the pack. Below is a full list of results:

The Oliver Ames boys' soccer team is now 4-0-2

The Oliver Ames soccer team remained unbeaten Tuesday afternoon at Muscato Stadium after its game against Milford. Unfortunately for the Tigers, OA didn't get a win, and the game ended in a scoreless tie. Still, the Tigers are now 4-0-2, and goalie David MacKinnon and the Tigers defense have yet to allow a goal on the season. Nick Man, Kyle Johnston, Chris Romero, Evan Coose all played well in the back for OA. David Stapleton, Lucas Araujo, Adam Borbely, Gaston Cetrangolo and John Cerce were solid on the Midfield. While Chris Goncalves, Brandon Boone, Kyle Hayes and John Cerce created many scoring opportunities, they couldn’t beat the Milford keeper.
