Easton Firefighters Distribute Food to Elise Circle, Parker Terrace

This marks the third straight year the Firefighters Union participated in the event.

Submitted to Easton Patch by Easton Fire Local 2790: Yesterday, members of the Easton Fire Local 2790, along with some their families, delivered boxes of food purchased at Hannafords.  This marks the 3rd year the union members have given to the residents of Elise Circle and Parker Terrace.   This was the first year that we included 'File of Life' with every box.  The File of life is a helpful tool used by people with extensive medical issues to inform emergency personnel of a patient's medical history, allergies and current medication in the event the patient is unable to relay that information.    The forms come in a small pouch with a magnet that can be displayed in their residence on a refrigerator or door.  The File of Life provides …

New Housing Authority Management Making Improvements, Board Member Says

State Audit unveiled 23 insufficient practices during 2008-2010. Corrections are reportedly being made now.

Michael Forbes is the current Housing Authority Director. "The new management now is absolutely …

Food Drive Turns Into Rescue Mission for Easton Firefighters

Members of the Easton Fire Department participated in a food drive at Elise Circle and Parker Terrace Monday and were able to rescue one resident who had fallen in her apartment.

What began as a holiday food drive turned into a rescue mission for Easton Fire Department members Saturday morning. During the firefighter union's annual holiday food drive at Elise Circle and Parker Terrace in-which the firefighters delivered food boxes to the elderly and disabled residents in the complex, Easton's on-duty crew happened to knock on the door of a resident who had fallen the night before and was suffering from a medical condition. The firefighters gained entry to the apartment and were able to treat the resident, Fire Lieutenant Mike Green said. She was then transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center. Firefighters were participating in the food drive, which was such a success last year that they hope to expand and …
