One more blast of cooler temperatures is hitting Easton.
It's not quite summer yet. Expect temperatures to dip slightly over the next couple of days. "Tonight we are clear and cold with frost likely outside the Rt 128 belt as many towns find their way into the low and mid 30s by early Tuesday morning," wrote Jeremy Reiner in his latest weather blog. "Any tender vegetation should be covered up/protected from the chilly temps. Even downtown Boston will be cooler than this morning with lows into the low 40s. Tuesday itself is another sunny but seasonably cool day with afternoon highs near 64 (normal high is 66)." The National Weather Service has issued a frost warning for Easton. Congressman leads Gabriel Gomez by 17 points.
A new Suffolk University/7NEWS (WHDH) poll shows a strong lead for Democratic U.S. Congressman Edward Markey over Republican businessman and former U.S. Navy SEAL Gabriel Gomez in the race for the U.S. Senate special election. The poll of 500 likely voters has Markey at 52 percent and Gomez at 35 percent. Eleven percent of voters in the poll were undecided. A third-party candidate, Richard Heos of the Twelve Visions Party, got 1 percent and another 1 percent refused to respond. David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center in Boston, said along with the announcement of the poll that Markey has "a large lead over his Republican opponent who voters are unsure about." Indeed, 32 percent of those polled said …

A look at Easton's weather forecast.
Althought we will continue to see spring weather in Easton throughout Monday and Tuesday, don't expect that to continue throughout the whole week. Wednesday will see a much different weather pattern. "Blocking high pressure finally leaves New England and allows storminess in the south to move up into our part of the world in the form of clouds & a few showers," wrote WHDH's Jeremy Reiner in his weather blog. "The storm will be a bit of a slow mover so most of Wednesday will be dry with showers holding off until late day. Of course, this slow-moving storm will keep the chance of rain here in New England quite high for the entire day on Thursday. Temps, naturally, take a hit on Thursday struggling to reach 60." Warm temperatures throughout this week in Easton.
It seems as though spring has finally arrived. After a warm marathon Monday, we may see a few overnight showers this week. But, besides that, expect some nice weather. "Tomorrow offers more sunshine & clouds but they will each have their own time with us," WHDH's Jeremy Reiner wrote in his weather blog. "The sun is first up and then clouds will take over by early-mid afternoon. Despite more clouds, it will be just as warm (if not warmer) than today with many towns reaching the lower 60s---including the coastline. those clouds will toss a few showers our way well after dark tomorrow. Those showers will be long gone by daybreak Wednesday. The mild air will not as Wednesday afternoon temps get close to 60 yet again (bit cooler coast)." Below …

Get ready for some warm weather.
After a long winter, expect some warm temperatures this week. "A few showers and a rumble of thunder slide in Monday night and very early Tuesday morning," WHDH's Chris Lambert wrote in his weather blog. "That rain is along a warm front which will provide us with the warmest weather we've seen in about 6 months by Tuesday afternoon. With a bit of sun breaking out Tuesday afternoon and a southwest wind taking over, we'll run near 70 degrees!!! Likely the first 70 in Boston since the 74 on October 20th." Thunderstorms Monday night will bring cooler temperatures.
Rain showers are coming Monday night, and the end result will be colder temperatures. Any sun loses out to clouds by the afternoon as more scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm come rumbling on in," wrote WHDH's Chris Lambert in his weather blog. "That rain is along a cold front that'll drop temperatures dramatically by sunset. Before we see that drop off, temps close in on the mid 50s late morning in Worcester County and near 60 in Boston by early afternoon." Rain mixed with snow melting will bring a messy mix on Tuesday
It may get messy in Easton on Tuesday night. According to the National Weather Center and WHDH meteorologist Chris Lambert, expect some significant downfall Tuesday into the evening. "Tuesday brings us rain... and it WILL be rain this time," he wrote in his weather blog. "Depending on how the evolution of a wave of low pressure forms along this front, we could wring out at least an inch of rain. While that wouldn't cause significant river flooding, we may see swollen streams from snowmelt and rain, and I certainly can see us dealing with big puddles/ponding on the roads for the Tuesday evening commute." According to the National Weather Service, Easton residents should expect a high temperature of 51 degrees on Wednesday and a high …

A winter storm is coming this way.
Get ready for some more snow. The National Weather Service is prediciting that Easton could recieve up to 3-5 inches tomorrow and into Friday. The service issued a hazardous weather outlook and winter storm watch as a result. The snow will be mixed with rain and give way to a sunny weekend when the storm leaves on Friday afternoon. "Tomorrow and into early Friday morning will be the brunt of the storm but I have to tell you---it won't behave like a classic winter storm where we get slammed with snow for 6-8 hours then we're done," WHDH's Jeremy Reiner wrote in his weather blog. "It will be a slow, drawn out storm where it snows lightly (sometimes steadily) for several hours. Due to this, those snow totals you see on our special map will …

Get ready for another wintery mix in Easton on Wednesday.
Easton could be hit with another round of rain and snow. According to WHDH's Jeremy Reiner, the wintery mix is likely to hit on Wednesday. This one, he said, could affect the commute. "The difference (and it's a big one) is the timing---a commuter storm," he said in his weather blog. "Right now, it looks like a mix of rain & snow will break out around 5-6am Wednesday and be with us for much of the day. It does appear that there will be enough snow to shovel & plow but most of that will be confined to the I-495 corridor & beyond. metro Boston will see a coating before the storm becomes mainly a chilly rain storm." According to the National Weather Service, the storm will begin Tuesday night and carry over into Wednesday. Below is a full …
