Wayne E. Benson, 73, a lifelong resident of Easton and proprietor of Benson Enterprises of Easton, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Deborah A. Darling and former husband of Joan (Ordway) Miner of St. Croix. Born in Brockton, Dec. 20, 1938, a son of Phebe (Woodward) Benson of Easton and the late Robert Benson, he was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. For 55 years, he had been the proprietor of Benson Enterprise of Easton, a company specializing in excavation and precast concrete. He was a member of the National Precast Concrete Association.
