Easton Police Respond to Early Morning Mower

The following information was provided by the Easton Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, June 12 Early Morning Noise (6:34 a.m.) - A caller near Evolution Sports on Main St. reported that someone had been mowing their lawn for nearly a half hour. An officer was dispatched and told the person mowing their lawn that there is a 7 a.m. start time. Vandalism (6:54 a.m.) - A Shady Rest Rd. caller reports that someone used black spray paint all over Shady Rest Rd. The caller reports that it is on private property and town property. Officers responded to the scene, spoke to the homeowners and took photos. Car Stops (9-10 a.m.) - Easton Police pulled over five vehicles on Purchase St. between 9-10 a.m. One citation was issued, three written warnings were given and one verbal warning was given. Monday, June 10 Fraud (12:23 p.m.) - The pharmacist at CVS reported receiving two false prescriptions. Car Accident (2:52 p.m.) - A car accident was reported in the Oliver Ames High School parking lot. The two drivers exchanged information and one of them waited for AAA to come for a tow. Disturbance (8:49 p.m.) - A caller from Mary Dyer Ln. reported a disturbance in the community parking lot. An officer was dispatched and advised all the people involved. Tuesday, June 11 Napping Driver (2:09 a.m.) - A caller reports a car parked crooked with its lights on in the 7-Eleven parking lot on Washington St. It appears the driver is asleep. Saturday, June 8 Noise Complaint (12:03 a.m.) - A caller reported loud music comign from with the Hibernia Pub and Grille or a car in the parking lot. Officers were dispatched and found that there had been a live band playing earlier but that it had already finsished for the night. Alarm Sounding (11:19 a.m.) - A caller reported that a house alarm was sounding near the intersection of Black Brook Rd. and Depot St. and that they saw a white male wearing Patriots gear hiding in the bushes. An officer went to the scene and didn't find a house alarm sounding in the area. He spoke to the homeowner, who stated that his car alarm had been going off earlier. Friday, June 7 Sitting & Talking (2:16 a.m.) - A Westwood Rd. caller reported that a car had been parked outside with its brake lights on for approximately 20 minutes. The caller stated that he's concerned about what the car is doing there. An officer responded and found that two people were just sitting there talking in the car. The officer advised them to move along. Stolen Trash (6:59 a.m.) - A Massapoag Ave. caller reported that someone took his trash barrel overnight and knocked over his mailbox. Police advised the caller that he should contact Waste Management. They also searched the area and found two barrels at the wrong addresses. Wednesday, June 5 Repo Man (1:31 a.m.) - A tow company called the Easton Police Department to let them know that they will be attempting to repossess a car. The tow truck was able to repossess the vehicle without any problems. Wild Driver (7:45 a.m.) - Sharon Police received a call about a driver being all over the road on Massapoag Ave. The caller stated the car headed into Easton and relayed the license plate. Easton Police searched the are but couldn't find the car. Slumped Over Driver (8:24 a.m.) - A caller in the vicinity of Foundry Ave. and Sandstone Dr. reported that seeing a man who appeared to be slumped over the steering wheel of his car. Monday, June 3 Suspicious Man (12:35 a.m.) - A woman called 911 after leaving The Stoneforge Grille. She said there was a suspicious car with Rhode Island plates in the parking lot and the male occupant was walking around the building. Officers were dispatched to check it out, and they saw the car but were unable to locate the man walking around outside. Car Door Open (7:49 a.m.) - A caller from Welch Rd. reported a white sedan parked at the end of the street with it's driver's side door open. Officers arrived and were unable to locate the owner of the vehicle, so they secured the door. Easton Police Called After Car Stolen on Test Drive

Friday, May 31 9:08 a.m.: A driver call the police to report that there were broken glass bottles in the road near the intersection of Lincoln St. and Jonathan Dr. The Department of Public Works was contacted to clean up the class. 9:55 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious blue truck in cemetary. An officer was dispatched to check it out and found that a private investigator was working in it. 10:18 a.m.: New Bedford Police contacted the Easton Police Department to do a wellness check on an Easton resident after they were contacted regarding some text messages the person had sent. No one was home at the individual's residence, but officers were able to get in touch with a family member, who told them the person was at work. Officers also …

Easton Police Respond to Noisy Basement

The following information was provided by the Easton Police Department. Those listed as arrested have not been convicted of any crimes.

Wednesday, May 29 12:07 a.m.: A Brentwood Dr. resident called Easton Police to report hearing noises in the basement. Officers checked inside and outside the house but found nothing. 12:20 p.m.: A person came into the police station to report check fraud. On officer took a report. Thursday, May 30 3:10 a.m.: A caller reported that a large tree was down in the road near the intersection of Bay Rd. and Beaver Dam Rd. An officer checked and found the tree to be near Buttonbush. The Easton Fire Department was notified. The tree was cleared. 7:30 a.m.: A caller from Colleen Mary Way reported that she heard screaming for the past 10 minutes or so. Woman Left Car in Parking Lot for the Weekend

The following information was provided by the Easton Police Department. Those charged with crimes have not been convicted in a court of law.

Monday, May 27 6:54 a.m.: A caller from Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care reported that she came out of work and found that her passenger side mirror had been broken. An officer was dispatched and a report was filed. 10:28 a.m.: The manager of Honey Dew Donuts called to report that a car had been in their parking lot since Saturday, May 25. The manager stated that a woman had gotten out of the car on Saturday and never came back for the car, which now has a flat tire. Easton Police spoke to someone at the home of the car's registered owner, and they said they would have the car removed later in the day. 10:05 p.m.: Several 911 calls were received from the Morse Rd. area reporting a flash and explosion noise.
