Friday - May 17, 2013 Suspicious Activity- 11:19 p.m. Bay Road-A party came into the police station to report that a fire cracker was thrown onto his vehicle and caused burn damage. The party stated that the firework was thrown from the yard located one house north of the abandoned house on Bay Road at CVS. The house has a garage with the door open and the light on. Easton police verified malicious damage to the vehicle but officers were unable to locate juveniles. Monday - May 13 2013 Assault and Battery- 2:46 p.m. Lothrop Street- A resident arrived at the Easton police station to report an assault and battery of his son from a neighbor. Easton police are conducting a follow-up. Shoplifting- 2:54 p.m. Robert Way- Target loss prevention reported two suspects (one male, one female) who stole two watches. One male party was in a motor vehicle and the female party was still in the store. Both parties were now in the vehcile and the vehicle was heading to Route 123 towards Norton. Norton PD was notified. Norton PD eventually stopped the vehicle and a summons was issued. From the Easton Police Department: Easton Police Officer Keith Boone was promoted to sergeant following a brief swearing in ceremony at Town Hall on Elm Street. Sergeant Boone has worked for the Easton Police since October of 2004 and scored the highest for the department on the civil service promotional examination that was given last September. He presently works the evening shift. Keith also is certified in child safety restraint installations and helps citizens installing car seats or boosters seats for children. He also is the computer systems manager for the police department’s computers.

Two people were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center by the Easton Fire Department Tuesday, April 23 after an accident on Center Street. Easton Police first received the call at approximately 3 p.m. reporting a two-car accident. One person was transported to the hospital after Easton emergency officials responded to an accident on Meetinghouse Lane Sunday. The accident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. and involved a car vs. pole. A summons was issued as a result. One was arrested Friday evening after a Washington Street party near Stonehill's campus that resulted in a traffic-halting brawl in the middle of the road. Christine Vivero, 21, of Connecticut was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct after police arrived on the scene of the fight, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said. Raymond Bass, 22 of Canton and John Gomes, 21 of Hyannis were also placed in protective custody, Easton Police said. Locally, Easton Police are remaining vigilant, Chief says.
Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik said Easton Police Officers are assisting with the response to the bombings that occurred at the Boston Marathon Monday. Easton is a member of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council Regional Team, which was called up in the wake of the attack. "This team was mobilized at the request of Boston Police," Krajcik said. Sgt. James McAvoy and Sgt. Keith Nunes are responding and are assisting Boston Police as members of the team. Locally, Krajcik said Easton Police are staying vigilant in the wake of the local attack. "Officers here are following the events closely, we are getting frequent emails keeping us apprised of any developments," Krajcik said. "Officers know to report and investigate anything unusual. "

Police are on the lookout for three white males.
Easton Police are investigating a reported house-break on Church Street Wednesday night. Police Chief Allen Krajcik said the Church Street resident arrived home at approximately 8 p.m. to find two intruders inside. "The suspects ran out the back and then up Church Street to a vehicle that had a third person inside waiting," Krajcik said. The suspects left with jewelry from the home and fled towards Depot Street in a a light colored four door sedan. They were described as white males. Krajcik said Easton detectives are investigating.

The resident called Easton Police to report a rock through his front window Monday at approximately 12:15 a.m. He said it did not appear that his residence was broken into.
