Easton Lions Club
With more than 160 members, the Easton Massachusetts Lions Club is the largest in the Northeast and ranks 59th in the nation. We like to think of it as the “biggest and best.” It was given the prestigious award of the “The Most Outstanding Lions Club in the World” in 2008 by Lions Club International.  Lions Clubs International is the largest civic organization in the world.  Although its main charitable cause is assisting those with eyesight problems and finding cures for the many causes of blindness, it is one of the main sources of global good will on the planet with many areas of action. For example the Hearing Foundation has been added to the charitable causes to help those with hearing problems and the fight against deafness.
When disaster strikes anywhere in the world, you will see the Lions rise to the challenge. The Easton Lions Club was founded in 1931 and has a proven history of helpful involvement in our hometown over the years.  We give generously to our community’s, to Lions Eye Research, other sight related programs and many other many causes when the need arises. The Easton Lions have contributed over $550,000 in the past 80 years.  It not unusual for our Club to give in excess of $ 30,000 in any given year to LCIF sight related causes and up to $30,000 to other venues.
