Governor Patrick is a joke and a pitchman for everything that is wrong with our state.
You go tell the family of Matthew Denise how wonderful our Governor is.
The only reason he is even mentioning education in his money grab is that without those thugs, he gets nothing and we all know it.

ReplyI hope the school takes some kind of action. The actual charge may be a misdemeanor, but tell that to kid that received the beating and quite frankly if the school doesn't come down hard on the "star player" then the whole anti bulling thing is a load of crap and the schools would be hypocrites for not practicing what they preach or maybe guilty of having a double standard for athletes.

C'mon Dennis, it's the salaries and benefits eat up budgets. Guess who gets those benefits? Also take a look at all of the "mandates". Guess where they come from and guess who votes for the people who make them. I'll give you hints....The teachers unions and the Democrats, who control everything in the state.
You make it seem that all teachers spend tons of money on construction paper and crayons. Once in a great while a sudden need comes up and the teacher will make a purchase. The same goes in my line of work but I don't make anything out of it, I just get what I need and move on.

ReplyI see no problem with stating what one does for work, however who one works for is a different matter and should be of no concern to the board.

If you look at this chart, it appears that Massachusetts spends roughly 25% of its annual budget on welfare. This doe not include health and medical services and the 93 Million Dollars in healthcare to illegals.
Now Deval Patrick and some Democrats want more taxes from those lucky enough to have jobs to fund the things that our tax monies are supposed to be paying for.
A word to the wise for any elected officials thinking of raising taxes.....DON'T.

ReplyWow! A little something for everyone or so it appears. Hey Governor Patrick, why don't you get your (our) house in order and stop wholesale abuses of out tax dollars and stop some ridiculous spending, then and only then we can look at new taxes because it not "investments" it's taxes and where you plan to take these taxes is from working people, while giving the "takers" more breaks. I think not.
Hopefully, those who are supposed to be representing the taxpayers will not have any part of this new spending scheme. This will be a big test for our newest State Representative.

This judge has somewhat of a history of being lenient toward certain people.
Joseph Sacramone was found guilty last month by a jury of his peers in Lowell Superior Court of attempting to rape a 19-month-old child.
How many years in jail do you suppose the 45-year-old Ayer resident received at his sentencing this week? Ten? Fifteen? The rest of his time on the planet?
Try none.
In case you were wondering, Kenton-Walker was appointed to the bench by Gov. Deval "Criminals Are People Too" Patrick in 2009. According to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, during her nomination hearing, she said she favors strong sentencing in criminal cases in which the individual is convicted.
